Been a while since I've worked with CE3, so here's 2 updates:

First I'd like to address the status of Mat1lda. It is released, and in open beta(I completely forgot to update the blog!). All source is included as well!

NanoGod has reached over 3,000 downloads since being released around the time of patch 1.1, so now it has a new update! And many more features!

FY71 Enabler(SinglePlayer)

Copy "Mods" folder to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis 2\"

In the main menu of the game select "Mods" then activate "FY71 Enabler"



I've also included the equipment packs so that you can edit them for each level ;)

Changelog v1.1:
Enabled ironsighting while laser is attached
Made silencer damage more realistic(stronger)

Project Sapphire

Project Sapphire is a full simulation sniper modification based on MULTIPLAYER gameplay.

Features so far:
Full ballistics(DSG1, FY71 Sniper, Hammer).
Range finder(unlimited range).
Custom maps, and remakes of classic sniper maps.
FY71 sniper rifle.
All Nanosuit perks disabled.
Weapon selection is pickup based(not kit based).

Details:

DSG1:
-New barrel/bipod upgrade
-Full ballistics, and semi-functional bipod(very little sway when crouched)

SCARAB/SCAR:
-Muzzle break

Hammer:
-Muzzle break
-Stock(lowers recoil, increases accuracy)
-"Unlocked" fire rate

Other:
All missions have a modified loadout to provide each attachment & weapon modified in this mod.


Install:
This is intended for RETAIL version 1.1(patch 1)
Copy "gamecrysis2" FOLDER to: "$:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis 2\" OVERWRITE EXISTING FILES & FOLDERS

BBMB Mod.

BBMB stand for "Bipods Barrels & Muzzle Breaks"

Here's a snap shot of the barrel/bipod attachments I've made. Increases damage dramatically, and reduce weapon sway when crouched(hopefully we will have prone soon?). When the barrel is a attached it switches to a larger round, with much more bullet drop, and damage.

The muzzle break will also function as a damage mod, and well as recoil reducer(of course). I will make this attachment available for MOST rifles, and pistols!

I'll post pictures of the muzzle break as soon as I'm happy with the texture!



Still only tested in RETAIL 1.1 patch.

-Install: Copy "Scripts" folder to "Crytek\Crysis 2\gamecrysis2\" folder.

-Info:
AI to player damage = 0.5
Ammo Capacity = 999999
Damage X5(Rifles) X3(Pistols)

Effected weapons:
SCAR
SCARAB
Hammer
Nova
MK60
Microwave
Marshall
DSG1
Grendel(x2, very high default)
Feline
AY69
AGL(unlimited clip size, mounted or unmounted)
HMG(rate = 600(1.5x), unlimited mag)
Jackal
C4(x10 damage, lol. Flies 3x's faster.)

SCARAB, Nova, and Revolver possibly have a silencer on initial setup.
SCAR should have ACOG on initial setup.


THIS WILL WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH "Nano Suit GOD MODE"

Patch 1.2 Released. NOT GOOD FOR MODS

The 1.2 patch appears to DISABLE local modding.

Here is patch 1.1 if you accidentally installed 1.2(You need to uninstall the game and re-install retail 1.0).

Using the "bin32\Crysis2Launcher.exe" appears to check for updates, so use the "bin32\Crysis2.exe" instead!

"Bad" News.

I've come to the conclusion that modding Crysis 2 at this point has been a lost hope due to Crytek's lack of support for the modding community.

The only benefit of Cry Engine 3 to anyone at this point to ME is performance, and Crysis 2's story.

Moving back to Cry Engine 2 to pursue development seems to be the best option at this point.
